Interventions within the glass facade of the Musgrove Park Hospital’s new oncology centre.
The glass has been designed to have a positive impact for visitors and staff arriving at the hospital. While maintaining an essentially abstract design, the energetic marks cast into the glass are reminiscent of local basket making and willow growing. The bold graphic treatment of the opaque, etched areas focuses the eye on the coloured and textured glass within.
Seen from the waiting area these textures catch the sunlight, constantly changing with varying light conditions. In addition, pools of colour are projected into the building.
