Pattern and symbolism have been used to express Slough’s cultural diversity and harmony. The imagery has a familiar feel, being derived from domestic pattern, embellishment, and simple stitchery. Fabricated in slate and terrazzo, the combination of colours and materials have a pleasing, crafted quality and rhythm. At night the design comes alive when areas of the paving are illuminated.
